Is this training designed specifically for a recruitment audience or will my people just be attending a course designed for a more diverse audience?
This is an important question to ask. In other words, will the trainer be carrying out the course delivery in a way that is relevant to you, or will this be just another technology primer course, where you are sitting next to people from marketing, law, secretarial, finance, PR, sports and leisure etc. In which case you can rest assured that the course design, training delivery, workshops, and discussions will not be focused on your particular needs. You need to ensure that your people are in a forum where their concerns are specifically addressed, and they are shown how to apply the learned knowledge to make them better recruiters. Simply put, there is currently no other company besides Holistica Consulting that provides a complete range of courses specifically addressing the technical awareness issues of your recruitment teams. Our 'Recruiter's Guide to...' series is focused on only one type of professional, with discussions, and workshops to reflect this!

Is the training a seminar, a lecture or an interactive workshop?
This is another extremely important question to ask. Be weary of the 'Sell em cheap, Pile em high' merchants. Large seminars or lectures, with 50-100 plus attendees may not really benefit anyone except the person on the stage. The tickets may be cheap, but without the interactivity and opportunity to really clarify the issues that matter, you could achieve the same result with a good video. When you send your people to any Holistica training event, you are guaranteed that they are going to be involved in an interactive workshop. The size of the group will always be such that every attendee is focused upon, and gets a chance to bring up the issues that concern them in their particular area of expertise. They get assessed on what they have learned through quizzes and group exercises, and are encouraged to participate all the way through. That's why, in our joining instructions, we ask the delegates to 'get a good nights sleep prior to the event'. Because they certainly won't get a chance to snooze during the course.

What's the background of the trainer and will he/she be able to relate to the concerns of my recruitment teams?
Too many technical awareness courses are delivered by 'techies' who (whilst being technical wizards) are often appalling at relating the material to recruitment professionals in an entertaining and interesting way. They may never have even worked with a CV or job spec' in their life. With our courses, you will be trained by excellent technical speakers who, whilst being accredited by the Institute of IT Trainers, also have had real-life technical recruitment experience within some of the leading firms in the UK.

How well can the trainer get across complex technical concepts whilst emphasizing the business relevance?
Our past performance has shown that we have got the balance right. We don't want to turn your people into network engineers. We want to make sure that there is just enough technical content to get the concept across, and get your people to speak with more credibility and confidence when in front of a client or candidate.

What does TAP accredited mean?
TAP stands for Training Assessment Programme. It is awarded by the Institute of IT Trainers and it represents the leading certification programme for those training professionals working primarily in the classroom or in one-to-one environments. The key emphasis with TAP is on delegate participation and application of knowledge, and is the key reason why Holistica has adopted this benchmark for it's training. TAP is fast becoming the leading world certification programme for trainers, and Holistica Consulting will always ensure that your courses are designed and delivered in line with this methodology.
